Triple Point:

“Vancouver Triple Point, a program of Children’s Home Society, is Clark County, Washington’s safe haven support group and drop-in program for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Intersex, Pansexual, Queer, and Questioning people ages 11 to 17 years old and those 18 years old who are engaged in High School or GED program. It is what some participants call their “second home” where they can get to know other queer youth to develop lasting friendships. Triple Point is not only where participants can be proud of their sexual orientation and gender identity, but support others in the same. Participants have the opportunity through drop-in to just relax or play games, be creative, get to know more about whom they are and who their peers are. Triple Point participants have access to community resources, queer books, safe supportive adults and peers, and therapeutic laughter. Group allows for a more structured social support as well as educational environment where participants meet with community agencies to learn more about programs, develop confidence and peer support through art and craft projects along with open mic nights, and explore their ideas through group discussions and activities.”

Queer Youth Resource Center

“The Queer Youth Resource Center (QYRC) is an established 501(c)(3) non-profit organization committed to the mission of serving lesbian, gay, bi, pan, trans, nonbinary, intersex, asexual/aromantic, queer, and questioning (LGBTQ+) youth ages 12-24 and their allies in Vancouver and the greater Southwest Washington area. We here at QYRC, in solidarity with many youth today, choose to reclaim “queer” to serve as an inclusive umbrella term referencing all LGBTQ+ people.

While QYRC is not yet a physical building, we operate from the motto of “creating community as our center,” partnering with existing community organizations to provide our services. Our current work includes promoting recreational youth events, engaging in community networking and outreach, as well as sharing important LGBTQ+ resources.

It is imperative that we continue to show up for queer youth! How can YOU help? We welcome family, friends, service providers of, and general stakeholders invested in queer youth, as well as queer youth themselves, regardless of gender identity, sexual orientation, or experience level, to get involved in our work. We have positions open within our Board of Directors, and always appreciate general advisors and volunteers.”
